Perpetual R&D is an independent research & development lab. The premise is simple: when a question is worth asking, build the instrument that answers it — an auditor, a viewer, a machine, a working design — rather than a document about what the answer might be. The Lab on the front page is not a portfolio of pictures; every experiment there is a real project at a stated stage, told the way it actually works.

The site practices what the lab preaches. Everything you see was designed and built in-house: the animations are hand-written Canvas and SVG driven by one shared clock, there are no frameworks of convenience, no trackers, no cookies — and the whole site ships in well under a megabyte. If a portfolio about performance engineering spun up your laptop fan, it would be arguing against itself.
